150 alleged invaders were discovered by Ondo Amotekun hiding in rice bags.

The state capital of Akure has seen the capture of more than 150 alleged northern invaders by members of the Amotekun Corps, a unit of the Ondo State security network.

The individuals were stopped and searched by the corps at around 6:30 am on Thursday along the Akure/Ado-Ekiti Highway.

The two truck drivers who were transporting the invaders reported that they were traveling to Ondo State from Abuja, Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa states.

Adetunji Adeleye, the Commander of Amotekun in Ondo State, revealed the intruders were concealed under bags of grains and beans in the trucks while speaking to reporters about the incident in Akure. He added that they were unable to reveal their purpose in the state.

He continued by saying that certain charms and pictures had been discovered on them and that the motorcycles they were in possession of lacked proper documentation.

Adeleye added that before returning the intruders to their strongholds, they will be questioned and profiled.
