Akwa Ibom College of Nursing Sciences releases ND/HND Nursing form, 2025/2026

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the ND HND General Nursing form for the 2025/2026 academic session

Eligibility:

Applicants must have a minimum UTME score of 180.
Applicants must have at least five credits in WAEC, NECO or NABTEB; these include Credit in English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry & Physics with maximum of 2 sittings:
WAEC/NECO are combinable while NABTEB cannot be combined.
- Applicant Must be 16 years and above by Sept. 30, 2025.
Applicants must have chosen the College as first or second choice during their JAMB Registration.

Post-UTME Screening Exercise:

The Post-UTME Screening Exams is slated for 4th October, 2025 at Aka Community Secondary School, Aka Offot. Uyo by 7am.
Candidates are further advised to come to the examination venue with the coloured printed acknowledgement/exams slip for identification else will not be allowed into the exams premises.

UNIMAID Teaching Hospital College of Nursing Sciences Admission form, 2025/2026

The College of Nursing Sciences, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, has announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 admission exercise from 21st August to 4th September 2025.

The programme is an uninterrupted ND/HND in General Nursing Sciences, leading to the award of a Higher National Diploma, approved by the Nursing Council of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

The full programme runs for four years, consisting of eight semesters.

Admission is open only to candidates who sat for the 2025 UTME and scored a minimum of 150. Interested applicants are advised to visit the JAMB portal to apply via change of institution and course of study, ensuring their O’Level and JAMB results are properly uploaded and accepted.

In addition to the UTME requirement, candidates must possess five O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (WAEC/NECO) in not more than two sittings. NABTEB and NBATS equivalent subjects are also accepted.

The minimum age for applicants is 16 years and the maximum age is 24 years.

UNILAG extends Post-UTME registration deadline, 2025/2026

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) online registration for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into all undergraduate courses/programmes for the 2025/2026 Academic Session has been extended by three (3) days.

The online application portal, which was scheduled to close on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, will now close on Saturday, August 23, 2025.

Prospective candidates who are yet to complete their registration are advised to take advantage of this extension, as no further grace will be granted after the new deadline.

Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the University’s official website: www.unilag.edu.ng for authentic information/updates on the 2025/2026 admission exercise.

JAMB admission deadlines for 2025/2026

Following directives issued at the 2025 Policy Meeting chaired by the Honourable Minister of Education, all tertiary institutions have been instructed to conclude their admission processes by the end of 2025 according to the schedule below:

Public universities: To complete admissions by 31st October, 2025.
Private universities: To complete admissions by 30th November, 2025.
All other institutions (public and private): complete admissions by 31st December, 2025.

All institutions are encouraged to finalise admissions well in advance of these deadlines. Even where an institution is not yet ready to commence the new academic session, such an institution should conduct its admission and archive it. By this policy directive, all admission processes must be concluded within the prescribed timelines. Stakeholders at the policy meeting reached this decision to stabilise the academic calendar and ensure equitable access to admission slots across all tiers of tertiary education.

Consequently, institutions conducting post-UTME screenings are expected to conclude those exercises in good time to comply with the 2025 admission schedule.

JAMB reactivates portal for uploading O'level results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) hereby informs all candidates who participated in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that the portal for uploading their O'level results has been officially reactivated.

Candidates are advised to proceed to any of JAMB’s accredited centres nationwide to carry out the upload of their O'level results. This process is essential for the completion of admission procedures and must be done promptly to avoid any delays in consideration for admission into tertiary institutions.

Please note that only accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres are authorised to perform this upload. Candidates are therefore urged to verify the accreditation status of any facility before proceeding.

ABU Notice on Uploading O'Level Results and Changes in Programs for 2024/2025 Admission Process

According to our Special Bulletin dated October 3, 2024, the Central Admission Committee determined that some candidates did not submit their 'O' level results to the JAMB platform. Candidates are urged to visit any of the JAMB CBT facilities as soon as possible to ensure that their O' level results are uploaded.

Furthermore, the Committee revealed that some candidates had incorrect subject combinations for the programmes they applied for. The impacted applicants are advised to visit the JAMB portal and switch to other programmes that are appropriate for their subject combination.

Alternatively, such candidates can visit abu.edu.ng or putme.abu.edu.ng for information on programs suitable for their subject combinations.

Candidates who are not recommended for admission to the programs they initially selected might switch to alternative programs that are still available, as mentioned in the brochure.

All applicants (UTME and DE) for admission to the 2024/2025 academic session who have changed institutions to the Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, which is affiliated with the Federal University, Lokoja, should be aware that the POST-UTME Screening Portal will open on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

The screening exercise shall be conducted for the following programmes:

INFORMATION FOR THE ONLINE SCREENING EXERCISE

To participate in the Online Screening exercise, applicants MUST have

(a) effected a change of institution (and programme of study, where applicable) to the Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi in Affiliation with the Federal University Lokoja, as institution of first choice.

(b) uploaded their O'level result(s) on the JAMB portal before visiting the Polytechnic Post-UTME Portal.

(d) to commence the screening exercise, visit: https://portal.auchipoly.edu.ng/degree/ful/?register and log in with your valid 2024 JAMB Registration Number to confirm eligibility.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

To be eligible for the screening exercise:

(a) UTME candidates must score at least 160 in the 2024 UTME

(b) DE candidates must have applied through the JAMB in the 2024 JAMII admission exercise.

(c) Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O'level credits in subjects relevant to their desired course of study. These credits should be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings. In addition, a credit in English Language is compulsory for admission into all the programmes of study.

(d) For a detailed O'level, UTME, and DE requirements for the course/programmes offered at the affiliate institution, please visit the Screening Portal https://portal.auchipoly.edu.ng/degree/ful/ and click on the requirement menu.
