Due to injury, Everton is without Calvert-Lewin for six weeks.

Prior to the start of the 2018 Premier League season, Everton was struck a severe setback when manager Frank Lampard stated Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be out for six weeks.

The 25-year-old English striker suffered a “freak” knee injury in practice prior to Saturday’s match between Everton and Chelsea at Goodison Park, according to Lampard.

Due to Richarlison’s transfer to Tottenham and Salomon Rondon’s suspension for Lampard’s previous club’s visit, the Toffees are left without many options up front as a result of Calvert-injury. Lewin’s

It will undoubtedly have an impact on you to lose a player of Dominic’s caliber in the week leading up to the first game, according to Lampard.

“For the injury, we’re probably looking at about six weeks. We have reached that point after a few days of assessment.

It is inevitable while working with a squad and receiving this degree of training. We’ll have to find a solution to that.

Due to a chronic muscle ailment, Calvert-Lewin missed four months of the previous campaign.

Even though he only made 17 Premier League games, one of his five goals—the game-winning goal in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in May—proved to be the deciding factor in keeping Everton in the top division.

Lampard continued, “Dominic was looking terrific, incredibly fit, and really strong.

“I know the sensation as a player when you are getting psyched up and ready for the new season, so it is a knock for everyone, especially him.

“I feel for him, but as a club and squad we just have to look at the games in front of us,” the coach said. “We will support him, like we always do.”

The league games against Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Brentford, Leeds, Liverpool, and Arsenal are also scheduled to be missed by Calvert-Lewin.

Armando Broja of Chelsea is apparently a goal for Lampard as he admittedly seeks to improve his attacking options.

I wouldn’t discuss specific targets, but we are definitely aware of our strengths in that part of the field.

“Richarlison, who was versatile across the front, is no longer with us. Although Dwight (McNeil) has been hired, we are extremely conscious of other areas where we can improve.”
