Ghana defeats Super Eagles Team B in a CHAN qualifier in Algeria 2023.

After defeating Super Eagles B 2-0 on Sunday night at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Ghana’s Black Galaxies took the lead against Nigeria in their seventh matchup for the African Nations Championship final.

In the 50th minute, Daniel Barnieh scored from the spot for the Galaxies after Beninoise referee Issa Mouhamed called a foul on a Nigerian player inside the 18-yard box. The goalkeeper Adeyinka Adewale swiftly atoned for losing the ball with a lurking Ghanaian striker.

With four minutes remaining, Seidu Suraj sent a shot from close range that Adewale could only deflect into his own net after the Super Eagles had made a brave effort to equalize as the game went on.

The Super Eagles B now have some work to do before the second match, which will take place on Saturday night at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
