Two ladies are detained in Ogun for allegedly snatching a child.

Police in Ogun State have detained two ladies on suspicion of snatching a baby boy. according to DAILY POST learned that on July 25, men from the Ogun State Police Command arrested the two women.
On the mentioned date, around 9 am, one of the suspects, 53-year-old Chinyere Nwozu, was reportedly observed with the weeping one-week-old baby.

People grew suspicious when she was unable to comfort the weeping child like a mother, and they promptly called the police at the divisional headquarters in Sango Ota.
According to SP Dahiru Saleh, the DPO of Sango Ota, who received the tip, “the woman was swiftly detained,” according to a statement made on Saturday by Abimbola Oyeyemi, a police spokeswoman for Ogun.

According to reports, Akaeme admitted to the police that she had helped Chinyere Nwozu sell the baby, saying “she actually bargained with the baby’s original mother who agreed to sell the infant.”
Oyeyemi claimed that attempts to get Akaeme to go with the police while they tried to find the baby’s biological mother were unsuccessful.

He continued by saying that CP Lanre Bankole, the police commissioner, had ordered that the two suspects be sent to the State CIID for additional investigation and potential prosecution.
