‘Unacceptable’ that Ronaldo left the Man Utd game early: 10 Hag

Cristiano Ronaldo and other Manchester United players leaving Old Trafford before the conclusion of Sunday’s friendly match against Rayo Vallecano was deemed “inappropriate” by Erik ten Hag.

United finished their preseason workouts against another Spanish team the day after sending a potent team to Oslo to take on Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Ronaldo, United’s best player, played the opening 45 minutes of his first preseason game as Rayo and Rayo at Old Trafford tied 1-1.

Due to a family matter, the 37-year-old had to skip the preseason tour of Thailand and Australia. The fugitive forward was seen exiting Sunday’s game with Diogo Dalot.

Ten Hag did not address the media following the game, but he has since complained to broadcaster Viaplay.

In addition to Ronaldo, “there were many others who went home,” the United manager remarked.

He declared, “This is intolerable for everyone.” I tell them that what they’re doing is unacceptable, that we are a squad and that they should stick around until the conclusion.

On Sunday, when United hosts Brighton at home in the Premier League, Ten Hag will oversee his first competitive game in charge of the team.
