Explosion at APP Secretariat in Rivers State Shocks Public

An explosive device was detonated at the Action People’s Party (APP) secretariat in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

The explosion, which apparently occurred at midnight, shattered the glass of the window near the impacted location.

The Rivers State Police Command has sent two security cars and staff to the area in the new GRA. Routine activities are also proceeding successfully inside the area.

APP, which is relatively unknown in Rivers State, has grabbed notice for procuring and decorating a building in Port Harcourt’s highbrow neighborhood to house its secretariat.

There are accusations that the party is supported by some People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members who are dissatisfied with how their party is currently handling matters in the state.

This regrettable episode demonstrates that the party’s increasing success in Rivers State is due to more than just one factor.

The parties and the police have not discussed the event.
