Award-winning Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni has escaped an alleged attempt to kidnap her while performing in Rivers State
Naija News understands that Teni was performing at a New Year show in the state before the attack and everyone had to scamper to safety.
An eyewitness identified as Mayor claimed that the attack saw many people rushed to the hospital because of the stampede.
He further stated that some unidentified people tried to abduct Teni while performing on stage, hence the need for her bouncers to fire some gunshots into the air.
The witness wrote, “I was there and it was a mess!!!! People were rushed to the clinic because of the stampede.”
Mayor when asked if they tried to abduct Teni said, “Yes and that’s when her bouncers started shooting everywhere!!! Not just towards the sky but everywhere. It was horrible. I just feel bad for her.”
A video spotted online has shown the moment things went south at the event and fans of the singer are worried about her safety.
