Aisha Dogara Adamu, a demonstrator at the #EndBadGovernance protest in Bauchi State, described how a hoodlum raped her and stripped her naked in public.
Aisha, a Bauchi resident, described the brutality she faced on the first day of the state’s protests.
According to Punch, she stated, “On Thursday, August 1, 2024, as planned, peaceful protests took place near the CBN roundabout in Bauchi city around 1 pm to express our worries about poverty and insecurity.

“The police used tear gas at us. I braved the teargas and walked past the security guards. When I was reaching the State Secretariat, a man named Blabla came up behind me and began beating me.

Aisha sadly alleged that Blabla assaulted her and left her naked in front of the area’s security station.

She said, “He hit me and kicked me with his feet. What puzzled me was how they stripped me naked in front of security personnel and then did nothing.”
According to Aisha, her assailant claimed to have permission from specific authorities to prevent anyone from protesting along that path.

When asked why she joined the march, Aisha cited excessive inflation and disturbing insecurity as her primary motivators.
