Atiku journeys for business to Europe

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria and current presidential contender for the Peoples Democratic Party, will fly to Europe this afternoon for business.

His spokesperson, Paul Ibe, provided a statement that corroborated this.

Previous visits by the former vice president within the year have sparked discussions about his tactics, physical health, and the PDP’s standing in the campaign for 2023.

But to make sure the stories are accurate, Mr. Ibe revealed that Alhaji Atiku would leave right after his Friday meeting in Lagos with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) leadership and Delta Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP vice presidential candidate.

The trip today is a continuation of one that was taken for business three weeks ago, the official said.

At the completion of his tour to Europe, the former vice president will also take advantage of the chance to travel to Dubai to see his family, Mr. Ibe continued.

He stressed that Atiku’s trip is for business and family purposes and has nothing to do with medicals as have being insinuated in some quarters.
