Beatrice, the wife of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, former Deputy Senate President, has been released from prison in the United Kingdom.

A UK court condemned Senator Ekweremadu, his wife, and Dr. Obinna Obeta on charges linked to organ harvesting.

Mrs Ekweremadu, who was sentenced to five years in prison in the United Kingdom, returned to the country on Tuesday, according to an unnamed source.

According to reports, she is now in Abuja.
