BREAKING: Kingmakers nominate Olakulehin as next Olubadan
On Friday, the Olubadan-In-Council nominated Oba Owolabi Olakulehin as Ibadanland’s 43rd Olubadan.
According to the PUNCH, the seat became vacant on Thursday, March 14, 2024, following the death of Oba Lekan Balogun, who reigned for two years before dying at the age of 81.
At a conference held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, the kingmakers resolved to choose Oba Olakulehin as the new Olubadan.
Oba Gbadamosi Adebimpe, Ibadanland’s Osi Balogun, nominated him.
His name is scheduled to be submitted to Seyi Makinde, the state governor, for approval.
