Ferdinand Uzodimma, the brother of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, has been appointed as the governor’s deputy chief of staff, overseeing general services.
Ferdinand Uzodimma served as the only administrator of Oru East Local Government Area, a council member, and the chairman of the transition committee.
Cosmos Iwu was also reappointed by the governor as the Government Secretary.
In addition, Nnamdi Anyaehie, Patrick Ekeji, and Olisaemeka Sydney Agbor were reappointed by the governor to their positions as Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), and Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), respectively.
Iwu, Agbor, Ekeji, and Anyaehie all performed identical roles during Uzodimma’s initial four-year mandate.
Sam Anyalewechi Nwaobasi was also selected by Governor Uzodimma as a Special Advisor on Program and Policy Implementation/Monitoring.
The nominations are effective immediately, according to a statement made by Oguwike Nwachuku, the governor’s spokesperson.
The statement says, “Chief Cosmos Iwu has been reappointed as the Secretary to the Government of Imo State by Imo State Governor Sen. Hope Uzodimma.”Likewise, the positions of Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff (Administration), and Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations) have all been reappointed to Sir Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, Chief (Dr.) Patrick Ekeji, and Barr. Olisaemeka Sydney Agbor.
Additionally, the Governor has authorized the appointment of Mr. Sam Anyalewechi Nwaobasi as Special Advisor on Program and Policy Implementation/Monitoring and of Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma, a former Councillor, Chairman of the Transition Committee, and Sole Administrator of Oru East Local Government Area, as his Deputy Chief of Staff (General Services).
“The appointments are effective right away.
