“I Don’t Even Know My Dad, I Was Four Years Old When He Left Us,” The Skales

John Njenga-Njeng, better known by his stage name Skales, is a Nigerian rapper and musician who has detailed how his father abandoned his mother, his younger brother, and him when he was 4 years old.

that Skales just admitted he has no idea what his biological father looks like in a conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo.

He claims that his father left the family and that his mother worked odd jobs to support the family and put him through school.

The singer admitted that he should have asked his mother who his father was but held off since he knew it would upset her.
Skales went on to say that the only things he could recall about his father were his beard and the forehead kiss he gave him before he left.

He added that prior to the demise of his mother, he also worked hard as a kid to support her. He said: “That’s one mystery that I’ve not been able to solve like I don’t even know what my dad looks like. The only thing I can remember about my dad was the day he was leaving us.

I recalled he had a beard when he approached to kiss me on the forehead. But because I was so little, I can’t recall the other stuff. I had just turned four or five.

“I attempted to ask my mother. Again, though, I feel like it will make my mother sad because I really love her and detest seeing her miserable. I never inquired.
