LGBT: FG Pays Influencers To Defend Samoa Agreement – Atiku’s Aide
Abdul Rasheeth, Special Adviser on Media (Broadcast) to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that the federal government recruited social media influencers to support the Samoa Agreement.
Rasheeth claimed he received multiple phone calls from influencers who informed him that a Northern adviser to President Bola Tinubu was “distributing money and recruiting many people” to defend the Samoa Agreement.
According to Atiku Abubakar’s aide, the influencers were recruited and paid to protect the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community, which is claimed to be one of the requirements of the federal government’s $150 billion loan arrangement.
Rasheeth posted on his X (previously Twitter) account on Sunday, “I received numerous phone calls from several influencers about a Northern Tinubu Media Aide who was widely distributing money and recruiting many people to defend the LGBTQ deal.”
Recall that the federal government, through Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Atiku Bagudu, denied accusations that Nigeria must allow the LGBTQ community to express their sexual orientation choice as a condition of the loan arrangement.
Also, Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, declared in a statement on Saturday that rumors regarding the Samoa Agreement, notably the LGBTQ clause, were inaccurate.
Mohammed Idris stated that stories on the Samoa agreement were based on hearsay and incorrect information.
