What Does Human Life Mean In Nigeria? – Actress Njoku Calls For Mohbad’s Justice

Actress Mary Remmy Njoku from Nollywood has called for justice for late Nigerian artist Mohbad.

The actor questioned the administration about the worth of human life in the nation while commenting on the controversies surrounding his death in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Mary added that seeing songs and videos of the deceased musician on social media brought tears to her eyes despite the fact that she wasn’t a fan of his when he was alive.

She wrote: “Never really been a major follower of Malians, considered the songs were ‘too much’ for me. Demanding justice for the lad. So, I had never heard of this budding artist. However, watching these films that are circulating online and listening to his songs from last night make me cry. It makes me ponder what a human life actually is worth in Nigeria. Haba.”

Mohbad passed away on Tuesday and was buried right away in the Lagos State neighborhood of Ikorodu.

The ‘Feel Good’ singer and his longtime partner Omowunmi had a son.

The popular tracks “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” with Rexxie made Mohbad famous.

For his song “Peace,” he was nominated for Best Street Hip-Hop Artiste at the recently held 16th Headies Awards.
