Ngozi Nwosu’s Stance on Free Services in Abia State

Ngozi Nwosu, a veteran Nollywood actress, has claimed that she will not provide free services in her home state of Abia, claiming a lack of support during her health issues.
In a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, the 61-year-old actress explained how the Abia state government abandoned her during a critical health issue in 2012, prompting her to make this resolute decision.
Nwosu, who suffered from a renal disease, indicated that she has subsequently committed to requiring significant reimbursement from the state for any future treatments.

“I have personally stated that there is nothing my state will ask me for that I would be willing to do for free.

“They’d pay top dollar for me to be there. I’m from Arochukwu Local Government.

“Abia state,” she explained.

Nwosu also revealed that throughout her health issues, she received crucial assistance from the Lagos state government, owing to a woman who referred to her as her “favourite actress.”

“When I needed support, the renown I gained from my parts in television shows came in handy.
The person who contacted the Lagos State Government did so because I was her favorite actress. So when she found out I was dying, she contacted the government to save my life because she cares about me,” she explained.

The actress began her career in Yoruba films and rose to prominence after appearing in ‘Living in Bondage.’
