Bauchi Commissioner Jalam and Driver Died In Auto Crash

Mr. Ahmad Aliyu Jalam, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, died in an automobile accident on Saturday night.

The tragedy on the Misau-Darazo route also claimed the life of his driver.

On Sunday, Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his condolences over the tragedy.

Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, stated in a press release that “His Excellency Governor Bala Mohammed, his cabinet colleagues, friends, family, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched during his lifetime” are very saddened by his passing.

The statement went on to laud Mr. Jalam as “a dedicated public servant whose unwavering commitment to the development and well-being of his local communities.” Throughout his life, he championed several measures to improve good governance and community relations. Late Ahmed Jalam was known for his tireless effort, integrity, and compassion for the people he served, and his contributions will be remembered and treasured by all.

The Governor is set to attend the late commissioner’s burial prayer on Sunday in his hometown of Jalam, Dambam Local Government Area, Bauchi State.
