Real Madrid fans react to the signing of Mbappe
Real Madrid fans reacted to the news that French football star Kylian Mbappe had joined the club.
Real Madrid announced on Monday that it had signed an agreement with Mbappe to join the club for the next five seasons.
On social media platform X, the French celebrity remarked that joining the club was “a dream come true”.
“A dream comes true,” Mbappe wrote. “I am overjoyed and thrilled to join the club of my dreams. Nobody understands how delighted I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thank you for your incredible support. “Hala Madrid!”
The 25-year-old World Cup winner joins a Madrid team already brimming with talent and fresh off its sixth European title in ten seasons.
“I think he’s very versatile in the first place because of the way he plays, he kind of just takes it on his own all the way up,” Sheila, a fan, said.
“So I’m curious to see how he interacts with the team. But I think it’ll be a wonderful fit regardless.”Mateo, a Spanish fan, was less convinced: “I personally do not like him and would not have signed him.”
He definitely sold us out two years ago, and we all yelled at him. We’ve won two championships since then, so I don’t think there was a necessity,” he explained.
Mbappé joins a team that already features young stars in Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham.
His signing could revive Madrid’s “galatico” squads, when it had some of the world’s top players including Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Brazil’s Ronaldo, David Beckham, Luis Figo and Karim Benzema, among others.
