Countries President Tinubu Has Visited Since Taking Office
President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for a two-week holiday in the United Kingdom, his first international travel since taking office on May 29, 2023.
This vacation, characterized by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, as “part of his yearly leave,” comes after a string of over 20 international trips aimed at recruiting investment and garnering support for Nigeria.
The President’s frequent trips are due in part to the country’s current paucity of ambassadors, which necessitates his direct involvement in overseas engagements to establish diplomatic and commercial partnerships.
According to Lagmen Net, President Tinubu’s forthcoming journey to the UK comes barely two weeks after his return from London, where he met with King Charles III.
