Davido was guarded by ancestors while he ran for governor of Osun state, according to the current Benin king, Oba Ewuare II.
Yesterday, the 30BG team, including Zlatan Ibile, the Cubana Chief Priest, Davido, his fiancée Chioma, and their pals, attacked the palace of the Oba.
The festivities to mark the king’s birthday and sixth year on the throne of his ancestors included a Children’s celebration, where the monarch welcomed his guests.
The king, who gave the artist a warm welcome, claimed that the spiritual energies of the legendary City of Benin are supporting him.
Davido is a fantastic vocalist and guitarist; you’re welcome, he said.

The traditional leader also welcomed Olorogun Ese Kukor, President of the Neo Black Movement of Africa, who came to congratulate Oba Ewuare on the recent national recognition of the Oba of Benin as a CFR by President Muhammadu Buhari, noting that the honour was long overdue.
Olorogun states that “NBM of Africa’s mission and objective is to promote, maintain African culture and art on a global scale by working to revive, retain, and alter when required that component of African culture that will help humanity regardless of race.”
