Lagos Government Responds To Awolowo’s Grandson Seyi’s Sexist Remarks | BBNaija Stars

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency has denounced the comments made by Seyi Awolowo, the grandson of Obafemi Awolowo and a housemate on the current season of 2023 Big Brother Naija All Stars.

In a conversation with other housemates Pere, Soma, and Whitemoney on Sunday, Seyi boasted that he was already saving money for his boys to “run trains” on people’s daughters when they were grown up. As a result, according to Naija News, Seyi is trending online. Social media was in a frenzy after the video.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Agency responded to the remark by stating in a statement on Sunday that such statements help to spread negative attitudes and foster a culture of abuse and violence.

We vehemently reject Seyi Awolowo’s remarks in the upsetting video that has aired, the statement reads. Such statements support negative attitudes and support a violent and abusive culture.

The passive behavior of the onlookers in the video is also quite troubling because it merely encourages such behavior to continue. In situations like this, it is crucial for everyone of us to actively speak out.We are still dedicated to solving the problems of domestic and sexual violence.
