Red Line: According to Sanwo-Olu, we are establishing a new pace for development

According to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos Red Line project’s commissioning aims to change the urban environment and accelerate growth in addition to enhancing the city’s mobility.

The Lagos State governor added in a brief post on X (previously Twitter) that “we’re opening doors to opportunities, growth, and a sustainable future” by connecting key places around Lagos.

Before President Bola Tinubu officially launched the project today, the governor tested the Lagos Red Line on Saturday.

The LMRT Red Line’s commissioning, he continued, is “a generational leap for our city” and goes beyond simply being a project.
We are getting closer to a Lagos where location is no longer a determining factor with each track installed and station created.

Starting the Lagos Mass Rail Transit (LMRT) project would do more for our city than only improve transportation; it will also knit our community together into a tighter, more cohesive whole.
