The Magarya community in Zamfara State’s Zurmi Local Government Area has been attacked by armed bandits. The report stated that eleven persons were slain, including seven mobile police personnel and four civilians.

Three automobiles were also wrecked, one of which belonged to Magarya’s district head, who is also the brother of former Zamfara State House of Assembly speaker Nasir Magarya.

It was also gathered that chairs in the parlour of the former speaker’s house were set ablaze.

According to a resident of the area, Ahmad Umar, Magarya Model Primary School was set ablaze, and many people sustained various degrees of injuries.
