On Monday, members of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained 24 suspected internet fraudsters at various locations throughout Benin City, Edo State.

The accused were apprehended when actionable intelligence revealed their potential involvement in computer-related fraud.

They recovered 11 luxury cars, laptops, and phones.

₦160,000 was retrieved from one of the suspects.

The commission stated that the suspects have provided important information and would be charged in court as soon as the investigations are complete.
