Police Question Primeboy About Mohbad’s Wife’s Petition

Afro singer Primeboy, whose real name is Ibrahim Owodunni, was held by the Lagos State Police Command on Tuesday as he was supposed to attend the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, Yaba.
The late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba’s widow Wunmi, also known as Mohbad, filed a petition alleging defamation and other offenses, which was connected to the arrest.

Punch claims that although Primeboy was in custody, his friend Ayobami Fisayo, also known as Spending, was sent go.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the police public relations officer, verified that the questioning was a component of the continuing probe into Mohbad’s demise.

He stated, “Primeboy’s bail during Mohbad’s case was granted subject to the requirement that he sign in to the state CID every Tuesday in order to keep a watch on him and prevent him from fleeing. He therefore arrived today and took longer than normal.

This is due to the fact that Mohbad’s wife included defamatory statements in a petition she made against him.

“On the accusation, he was questioned. I was informed that the DC had asked him to leave after the interrogation. Thus, the SCID verified to me that he had departed the location around five minutes prior (6.12 p.m.).

Around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the insider revealed that Primeboy had not yet left the police facility.

It is untrue, according to the source. Barrister Emmanuel, the attorney who came to secure his release, is still present. He has not been released by the IPO.
