Davido’s Inspiring Journey to Success in Music Industry
Afrobeats musician #David Adeleke, often known as @Davido, has described his journey to success in the music industry after leaving school.
The musician owed his success in the music industry to his decisions after graduating from Babcock University.
He revealed this when presenting at the 2024 LAS annual meeting, where he discussed his route to achievement after graduating school.
Davido revealed that he took a hiatus from school to pursue his music profession, which eventually led to success.
He stated, “I relate a lot to this topic since I am a living example of a successful person after school.
Allow me to share my experience. So I moved into the entertainment industry after school, but I had friends, siblings, and my father, who owns a firm and a school from which students graduate.
He remarked that, unlike his siblings, who took more traditional paths, his family enabled and supported him to pursue his interests.
Davido stated, “I went to school for roughly five years since I needed to take a vacation due to my music. People attend school for four, five, or six years, and some study law, after which life begins.
“I have been fortunate to have pursued my dream. I came from a household where you go to school and then go straight to work.
Either you work for my father or you work somewhere else; I chose a different path than my siblings.”
The musician stressed that success comes at different periods for different people, providing examples of friends and siblings who rose to prominence rapidly while others fought their way up over time.
He said, “I’ve seen how they live after school. Some people achieved success quickly, while others work for others and work their way up.
