The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is a paramilitary organization within the Federal Republic of Nigerian government tasked with protecting the country and its people from threats, attacks, and natural disasters.

The Consolidated Naval Salary Structure (CONNESS), which was implemented in 2017, serves as the foundation for the civil defense pay scale. There are two types in the compensation structure: non-commission officers and commission officers.

These sets of officers are in charge and control of the decision-making, they are above and given directly to the non-commission officers.   • If the individual is a graduate, he is placed at Level 8.
